Jeanie Hackett, partner to the beloved Williamstown Theatre Festival founding artistic director Nikos Psacharopoulos, died on Saturday, June 27th, 2020, from lung cancer. She first came to WTF in 1978 and was, according to her close friends, forever in debt to the Festival for giving her a sense of purpose. She wrote The Actor’s Chekhov which chronicles Nikos’ work as well as Jeanie’s interviews with several founding actors. After Nikos’ death, she moved to Los Angeles where she taught, acted, and ran both the Classical Theatre Lab and The Antaeus. She is survived by her husband, Young Ji.
